Danielle and Josie by the ' control room' ( the nerve centre)This page was written for the STEM project by  Danielle and Josie of Year 8
at Holy Family School  in Keighley.

We visited Hands on T.V on 13-04-00.

The Hands on T.V gallery looks like a T.V studio and it has lots of information about ' Behind the Scenes and T.V production'

Here are two things we saw at the Hands on T.V gallery:

1.We saw how you can change the background when you are filming one or more people, this was shown on a magic carpet ride.

2.We also saw how newsreaders use ' Auto Cue ' when they're reading the news.

THE HISTORY OF T.V

Most people think that the television began in 1936 but actually it's story began much earlier. In the beginning nobody thought that the T.V would be so popular and make so much money but they were wrong. Nowadays 9/10 people own a T.V.

In Britain we thought that John Logie Baird invented the T.V, in other parts of the world different people invented different parts of the T.V such as:
Paul Nipkow who was German invented the Nipkow scanning disk and there was also Jean Weiller who was French and he invented the mirror drum.
