This page was written for the STEM project by Kelly and Uzi of Year 8 at  the Holy Family school in Keighley West Yorkshire.

We visited the Hands on TV section of the museum on 13. 4. Y2K!

The Hands on TV section showed us how early films were made, how TV works, how news programmes were broadcasted and about what goes on in thecontrol room (nerve centre).Kelly & Uzi in front of the control room

We took a particular interest in the control room.
We found out that the control room lets the director see all thats going on, on the set. They have to make sure that the timing with all the cameras and  sound and lighting are all perfect especially with live programmes such as the news.
